Why am I getting a call loop warning?

Fix call loop warnings caused by conflicting forwarding settings that would create infinite call forwarding.

A call loop warning appears when your routing configuration could create an infinite loop of forwarded calls.

What causes a call loop

A loop occurs when:

  1. Calls are forwarded from Number A to your AI

  2. Your AI is set to forward to Number A

  3. This creates an endless circle of forwarding

Common scenario

  • You forward calls from your business mobile to AI

  • You also set AI to ring your business mobile first

  • Call forwards to AI β†’ AI calls your mobile β†’ forwards to AI β†’ repeat

How to fix the loop

  • Option 1: Use AI-only mode

    • If forwarding from your number, set routing to "AI Answers All Calls"

    • Don't have AI ring the same number that forwards to it

  • Option 2: Use different numbers

    • Forward from business number

    • Have AI ring your personal/secondary number

  • Option 3: Disable conflicting forwarding

    • Remove the call forwarding from your phone

    • Or remove the ring-first routing from AI

Preventing loops

The system warns you before saving a configuration that would create a loop. If you see this warning:

  • Review which number forwards TO the AI

  • Review which number the AI forwards TO

  • Ensure they're not the same number
