What is the ring timeout setting?

Adjust how many seconds your phone rings before the AI Receptionist takes over unanswered calls to your AI number.

Updated this week

The ring timeout controls how long your phone rings before your AI Receptionist takes over. This applies to direct calls to your AI number when using "Ring my phone first" routing.

Understanding ring timeout

  • Measured in seconds

  • Default is 20 seconds (approximately 4-5 rings)

  • After timeout expires, the AI answers

  • The handoff is seamless to the caller

Longer timeout (20-30 seconds):

- You want every chance to answer personally

- Phone may not be immediately accessible

- Personal interaction is your priority
