Choose how your AI Receptionist handles booking and appointment requests from callers.

Steps to change booking handling

  1. Go to Receptionist Settings in the menu

  2. Find the Conversation Handling section

  3. Select your preferred booking mode

  4. Changes apply to the next call

Booking mode options

  1. Just Take Messages

    • AI collects caller information only

    • No discussion of appointments or scheduling

    • Best for: Businesses that don't take bookings

    • AI says: "I'll make sure [Business] gets your message and they'll be in touch."

  2. I'll Follow Up

    • AI collects details including when caller is available

    • You contact the caller to arrange the appointment

    • Best for: Businesses wanting personal scheduling control

    • AI says: "[Business] will be in touch to organise the appointment."

  3. Take Bookings (Requires calendar)

    • AI checks your calendar availability

    • Works with caller to find suitable times

    • Bookings appear for your confirmation

    • Best for: Automated scheduling with final approvalAI says: "I'll note those times. [Business] will review these options and confirm the best slot."
