How do I decline a booking?

Decline booking requests you can't accommodate and learn best practices for following up with customers.

If you can't accommodate a booking request, you can decline it. This removes it from your pending bookings.

Steps to decline a booking

  1. Go to Bookings in the menu

  2. Click the Pending tab

  3. Find the booking you want to decline

  4. Click Decline

  5. Optionally add a reason (for your records)

  6. Confirm the decline

What happens when you decline

  • The booking is removed from Pending

  • It appears in your booking history as Declined

  • The customer is NOT automatically notified

  • You should follow up with the customer yourself

When to decline

  • You're fully booked at the requested times

  • The service requested isn't something you offer

  • The customer's location is outside your service area

  • The request doesn't meet your requirements

Important: Declining a booking doesn't notify the customer. Best practice is to call them back to explain and potentially offer alternatives.
