If you're having trouble connecting your Google or Outlook calendar, try these solutions.
Solution 1: Allow popups
Calendar connection requires a popup window.
In Chrome:
Look for a blocked popup icon in the address bar
Click it and select "Always allow popups from CyberStaff"
Try connecting again
In Safari:
Go to Safari > Preferences > Websites > Pop-up Windows
Allow for CyberStaff
Try connecting again
Solution 2: Try a different browser
Some browser extensions can interfere.
Try Chrome, Firefox, or Edge
Try incognito/private browsing mode
Disable ad blockers temporarily
Solution 3: Clear cookies and cache
Old session data can cause issues.
Clear your browser's cookies and cache
Log into CyberStaff again
Try calendar connection again
Solution 4: Check Google/Microsoft account
For Google Calendar:
Make sure you're logged into the correct Google account
Try logging out of Google and back in
Check you have calendar enabled on your Google account
For Outlook Calendar:
Verify you're using the correct Microsoft account
Ensure your organisation allows third-party apps
Contact your IT admin if using a work account
Solution 5: Organisation restrictions
Work/school accounts may block third-party access.
Google Workspace:
Your admin may need to approve CyberStaff
Ask IT to whitelist the application
Microsoft 365:
Your admin may need to approve in Azure AD
Ask IT about third-party app permissions
Solution 6: Revoke and retry
If previously connected but having issues:
Go to your Google/Microsoft account security settings
Find connected apps
Revoke CyberStaff's access
Try connecting again from CyberStaff
