Why can't I toggle on notifications?

Fix disabled notification toggles by entering a valid email address or validated mobile phone number.

If the notification toggle is greyed out or won't turn on, there's usually a simple fix.

Requirements for enabling notifications

For email notifications:

  • Email field must contain a valid email address

  • Email must be properly formatted ([email protected])

For SMS notifications:

  • Mobile number must be entered

  • Number must be validated successfully

  • Must be a mobile number (not landline)

Fixing disabled toggles

Email toggle disabled:

  1. Check the email field isn't empty

  2. Ensure the email format is valid

  3. Remove any spaces before or after the email

  4. Try a different email address if issues persist

SMS toggle disabled:

  1. Enter a valid mobile phone number

  2. Wait for the validation to complete

  3. If validation fails, check the number is correct

  4. Ensure it's a mobile number, not a landline

Validation rate limits

Phone number validation has a rate limit:

  • Maximum 10 validation attempts per hour

  • If you've tried too many times, wait an hour

  • Ensure the number is correct before validating

Still can't enable?

If toggles remain disabled after following these steps:

  • Try refreshing the page

  • Clear your browser cache

  • Try a different browser

  • Contact support if the issue persists
