How do I forward calls from my existing number?

Set up call forwarding so customers can dial your existing business number and reach your AI Receptionist automatically.

Call forwarding lets you keep your existing business phone number while having your AI Receptionist answer calls. Callers dial your normal number, and the call is automatically forwarded to your AI.

Steps to set up call forwarding

  1. Go to Call Routing in the menu

  2. Enter your existing business phone number

  3. We'll detect your mobile carrier automatically

  4. You'll receive a dial code (a special number sequence)

  5. From your business phone, dial this code exactly as shown

  6. You'll hear a confirmation tone or message

  7. Make a test call to your business number to verify it works

Important: You must dial the forwarding code from the phone you want to forward FROM, not from a different phone.

Troubleshooting call forwarding

WiFi Calling interference:

  • Turn off WiFi Calling in your phone settings before dialling the code

  • WiFi Calling can prevent the forwarding code from working

Digital landlines (BT Digital Voice, Sky, Virgin etc):

  • Traditional dial codes don't work with internet-based phone lines

  • Use your provider's app or online portal to set up forwarding instead

  • Forward calls to your AI Receptionist's phone number

Wrong carrier detected:

  • If we detected the wrong carrier, click "Change carrier" and select manually

  • Different carriers use different forwarding codes
